About Us
From Humble Beginnings
My journey with rottweilers began nearly two decades ago with my first dog Dave. Rottweilers have always played a major part in my life , from my earliest memories as a very young child , visiting my uncles house and the beautiful mysterious black and tan dog they had and my dreams of one day having a dog just like that.
Having been mentored for years by our friends within the breed , we are pleased to have been given the opportunity to use one of their bitches to start our Almaz breed line . With such lovely looks and temperaments and having had two previous dogs from their line we could not have wished for such a perfect maiden bitch from which to start .
Having already had success in the show ring with her along with our other dogs , we look forward to sharing her success with you and our love of the majestic rottweiler breed from our home in Dorset .
Healthy Bloodline
Over the years the rottweiler community has striven tirelessly to improve the health of our breed . Through our commitment to hip and elbow scoring, which we do before breeding from any of our dogs we have literally irradiated hip dysplasia among our top dogs in the breed, right trough to testing for juvenile-onset laryngeal paralaysis & polyneuropathy JLPP , which we carry out on our dogs before mating.
Our rottweiler community hold the health of our dogs above all else and we are always striving to improve so are breed can continue to carry on in tradition of the breed standard,
A well- bred Rottweiler
Is calm and confident , When these characteristics come together as they should the Rottweiler is naturally a guarding dog with a mellow disposition . they can spend much of the day content just laying about doing nothing ,(as mine do) always ready however to let you know they are still there.
This makes for a breed that is successful within the police, military and border services as well as being a family friend and Guardian.
Dorset's playground
Our dogs are raised with the beautiful Jurassic coast as their playground.
During the day the younger ones go to work to earn their keep, supporting me and my family in our business.
